For over 50 years the Mission Ridge Volunteer Ski Patrol (MRVSP) has dedicated themselves to mountain safety.
Our core group of about 40 members consists of individuals of all ages, from all walks of life, bonded by a shared love of the outdoors, passionately giving our time to the safety of our patrons and helping those in need. We make excellence our daily routine and take pride in providing quality emergency medical care for our guests.
When things are at their worst, we are at our best.
MRVSP is a non-profit organization funded through donations by its local community. Those donations go directly to efforts to impact and improve safety for the public. Our patrollers donate their time both on and off the mountain helping to maintain and improve medical proficiency and serving others in need of emergency care.
Each patroller must have their skills evaluated annually, including assessments in toboggan handling, chairlift evacuation, Outdoor Emergency Care procedures, use of CPR and application of AEDs (Automated External Defibrillator).
If you have made donations to our organization, we sincerely thank you. If you are interested in joining a patrol that loves this mountain, each other and what we do, please fill out our interest form and/or stop in at the "top shack" just below the unload area of Chair 2 to ask us for more details.

OUR GOAL
Public safety is the highest priority
not only for the patrol but for
everyone at Mission Ridge.
not only for the patrol but for
everyone at Mission Ridge.
we start with ...Awareness
Whether its knowing the Code of Conduct about how we treat others enjoying the hill or learning about avalanche safety techniques, the patrol can help.
|
... Then comes ...Preparation
Each year the Mission Ridge Pro Patrol raises money for on-going education around mountain safety, including avalanche risk mitigation.
|
... And alwaysApplication
The volunteer patrol raises money to pay for backboards, medical supplies, evacuation toboggans and more, applying what's been learned.
